Possibility to let members create courses
Currently only admins can create courses. It would be nice if specific members can create courses as well. This could be through a specific user role like ‘course contributer’.i
By doong this members can establish some authority over certain topics and the community will have more courses / user generated content.
Are there any plans for this in the future?
i think that we already have that feature... the problem is if you give a role course creater then can edit and manage all the courses!!! and i think thats wrong
It's already there, go to settings, click manager, select roles for members, you'll see what you're looking for
WiLson Eberechi ah you’re right about that! It would be better to have a specific role like ‘course contributor’ that can add courses and edit or remove ONLY his own courses.
it also seems that the role of course managet is tied to the moderator role. I have 1 user who is moderator and he got course manager automatically. I can’t give users the course manager role only.
So the rights system shoild be a bit more fine-grained.
