Portal Slug

Hi there! Is there a way to show the community on the main URL (example.com) and not have to use a portal slug (example.com/portal/...)?

Kind regards!

Kim Jagstedt

Use https://fluentcommunityaddons.com/

Ross FCAΒ have a plugin that helps for that. "Fluent Community Quick Fixes"

Radu

Kim JagstedtΒ thanks for the tip, I will take a closer look. For now I prefer not to install plugins and use official methods. πŸ™

Radu

Thomas OatesΒ any idea if this method will affect future updates, or mess with search engines in some way?

Thomas Oates

RaduΒ Since it is the method published by the FluentCommunity folks, I doubt it will affect future updates. Not sure about search engines though (not a concern I have since my site is fully private).

Radu

Thomas OatesΒ maybe Shahjahan JewelΒ can clear things for me related to search engines. Many thanks!

Kim Jagstedt

Thomas OatesΒ You're right. The sitemap wont work in the root of the domain.

Bryan William

Kim JagstedtΒ For me, that's the only problem for now. I installed mine in the root domain, and everything works fine, except the Sitemap is not working

Radu

Bryan WilliamΒ hope there's a solution for this issue, so I can buy a pro license.

Bryan William

RaduΒ There's and it works very very fine, except for sitemap which they will fix soon. just follow this guide - https://github.com/WPManageNinja/fluent-community-docs/blob/master/code-snippets.md#modify-portal-url-slug

Radu

Bryan William thank you for you comment. Have you talk to a team member that said they will fix the sitemap issue? Sorry, I just want to be sure. 😜

Bryan William

RaduΒ Nope, I have been looking for that comment but can't find it...
