Please give the calendar function higher priority!

Please vote for this suggestion: (Event) Calendar (Roadmap).

I am currently experiencing this in my community:

A calendar function is fundamentally important!

Attempts to announce dates via posts with categories or in special appointment spaces lead to confusing chaos. A calendar will remedy this situation!

Therefore, my suggestion for an initial version of the calendar function is as follows:

  • Access/link in the main menu next to the leaderboard link

  • Monthly view is sufficient for the first version

  • Translatable

  • Adding appointments in the same way as adding files/documents:

    • Start date with time
    • End date with time
    • Title
    • Description
    • Location (also suitable for Zoom or MS Teams links)
    • Assignment to a space or course (only members of the space or participants in the course can see the calendar entry)

Later versions

  • Automatic generation of an *.ics file

  • Option to synchronize the calendar with Outlook & Co.

  • Option to synchronize with Zoom and MS Teams & Co.

  • Add posts to the calendar via a special category

  • Displaying info banners:

    • Event XY starts tomorrow
    • Event XY starts in YZ minutes
    • Event XY is happening now

Any other suggestions?
It's urgent.

An early, simple version of the calendar would be very helpful to us, Shahjahan Jewel!

Ludo (WeT) it's an essential function of a community site in 2026. Circle has it, skool has it. Thanks for sharing, but it shouldn't be an add on.

Ludo (WeT) sadly FCA Events is not fully working yet.

I would prefer to see tighter integration with FluentBooking and FluentCart for things like this. But 👆this ☝️is a master class on how to make a proper feature request. I need to bookmark this as the one I point to when trying to explain to people how to make a proper feature request. Good luck with your cause! 😀
