Petition to have a Page editing tool within the FC backend portal
I know that WP mastery comes with a learning curve, but this is where I draw the line ^^' I have been STRUGGLING to make the most basic page, such as a welcome page. I've tried to make a blog page. I have attempted to draft a login/sign up page to play around with FluentCart, CRM and Forms. I have spent hours upon hours on this. Today alone I have spent 2 hours in vain.
Downloaded Elementor. I use FC widgets.
Writing a page is always buggy and alarmingly complex. Why couldn't we write our pages from within the community? After all, we can create spaces from within the portal, so why not pages to which we could add Fluent products' shortcodes? (or better yet, add the products even more natively) Is that not technically doable? Why do we have to deal with WP's ancestral blogging system instead of having an easier alternative on FC's plugin, which is a portal in itself?
It's quite disheartening to spend all my spare time trying to tweak my community just because I'm not enough technical savvy...
Shahjahan Jewel Weren't y'all working on an official lightweight WP theme that works seamlessly with FluentCommunity? Is it still in the works? Thanks.
Thomas OatesΒ There is still the option to manually change the theme template for each page. But that's something that has to be done all the time. Today I just tried out Ross' (mention doesn't work) theme he posted a year ago. It could be obsolete, I don't know. I'll deactivate it because it seems to ignore the coloring of my community to begin with, hence why it's black).
But to be honest the problem goes way beyond that. It's just too complex to write a page and I don't know why it should! Creating a space or a course is so easy so why not a page..?
AS WΒ Thanks. I'm aware of the current options. I've created my own WP theme that works with FluentCommunity and I've posted one (or two) here a while back that people could download and use. Mine works great in my environment (it is heavily modified for my specific environment) but it would be nice to have an 'official' theme that would presumably reduce the risk of having to make theme code changes to my theme when new versions of FC are released.
Thomas OatesΒ I'd love that too. But still. That wouldn't make the Page creation experience much easier. At least to me...
