Option to Remove Slugs

Hey! Will it be possible anytime in the future to remove slugs (similarly to how you can remove them in Permalinks, so that you don't have to have /post before the actual post slug), so that the URLs would look much shorter and cleaner? Of course every course and post slug would have to be unique, but that should be easy to force?
