Option to limit content in notification emails
When I check the option “Send announcement email to space members”, the email notification always includes the full content of the post. The same happens when members choose to receive notifications for replies to their own posts.
I would prefer that only a preview or excerpt of the message is shown in the email, so that members are encouraged to log in to the community to read the full post. This would also help increase engagement and keep members more active on the forum.
Is there already a setting for this that I might have missed? If not, I’d like to submit this as a feature request.
I am not against your idea as it may or may not increase engagement. You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make the horse drink the water. A preview will peak their curiosity, but they still may not reply or engage more but it would not hurt to have an option to enable/disable email notification previews.
