Navigation icons names

Just because Manoj Sharma said it is quiet today and just because Linda Rando was smiling here let me share some info about nav icons names - how we call them and where they can be used.

Menu navigation icons names were inspired from food items (probably DevOps were hungry that day haha).

We get use to call the main navigation links: a Menu since the Menu name represents the "restaurant" offer.

We might not use often other then the name Menu words related to icons (the same situation is in a restaurant - we focus a main menu card and we dont ask for a flyier etc).

Your ecommerce website is (should be) like restaurant where you feed your customers with the food/product you offer. 

What's in your restaurant offer? What in the Menu? Are there any hidden promos/shortcuts? Do you offer a Hamburger/Kebab/Meatballs/Fries with ketchup for some clients? Sound familiar? 

The most know fast food "dish" (offer) is probably a hamburger. Hamburger has lower meaning level then the whole Menu offer but in many cases represents the fast ordered item - with hamburger icon visitors can receive a fast food/access to the website’s most significant pages/meat content.

• Hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) usually includes a list of page links, prevent clutter, and maximize digital space.
• Kebab icon (three vertical dots) includes a list of secondary tools and options
• Meatball (three horizontal dots) includes a list of less important tools or options for a site element
• Bento/Waffle icon (named after the Bento boxes) includes a menu of apps or solutions within a product
• Doner icon (Turkish dish) condense filter options
• Cog icon condense settings
