Move from Buddy Boss?

We currently use Buddy Boss them and community features. Is it possible to continue to use the Buddy Boss Child theme. We have quite a bit of custom coding aligned with the theme. We also use LearnDash. How difficult would it be to transition from a Buddy Boss / LearnDash environment to Fluent Community? Is Fluent Community developed to the point where it would now be worth the work? Just seeking some guidance to see what we might do and if adviseable to consider. Thank you. I should say we also use Fluent CRM, Forms, etc. so already using Fluent software.

Fluent Community does not use your Wordpress theme at all, so any work on BuddyBoss would not work with fluent. What sort of customisation is it? I find the default style to be quite clean and effective, it mimics circle.so, so you may not need as many changes. Color schemes and logos are easy to update. Other changes such as padding etc can all be added with custom css.

As a former BuddyBoss user (I had the lifetime license), I can honestly say: you won't regret switching! I agree with Ross.

The only thing I REALLY miss in FluentCommunity is one more layer in the course structure setup, like LearnDash offers. But I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will be added in the future! (Now looking at you Shahjahan JewelπŸ˜†)

Gee AdriaanszΒ yes, I really wish they had that third tier. Is very limiting.

Our members love the switch from BuddyBoss and I dig the ease of use. That said, we did not have years of content to migrate. The switch was smooth for us and have noted a definite uptick in member engagement.

Lisa RichardsonΒ yes, it seems quite easy, and certainly fast which is a great plus.

We were on buddyboss as well. Our conversations did not fully migrate. Also our moderation did not migrate properly either. You can actually test it without disrupting your buddyboss community and see if you have better luck with the migration and moderation than we did. We are still choosing to go forward with fluentcommunity inspite of these setbacks so we'll see.

Belle NibaΒ Yes, that is a concern and we may just have to take the short-term setback to make the move. Thank you for your comment.
