Monetizing Your Courses -- How Do I Set This Up?

How can I get payment for access to a course?

I follow along step-by-step here (https://fluentcommunity.co/docs/monetizing-your-courses/) and it feels like I'm ... not even close.

-- I have Community Pro and Forms Pro.
-- I set up Stripe (can be active or test--or I can try with Test Mode)
-- I also have set up PayPal

The CTA leads to a the landing page of the form (that doesn't seem linked to the actual payment. I then fill that out and I get a Thank You (success) message but no payment or request for payment and no access to course or ... not much of anything happening.

I feel like I'm missing several steps in this process. A quick YouTube search and I'm wondering if I'm supposed to be doing a bunch of automations in CRM Pro?

Is there an updated walkthrough or YouTube video to help with paywalls before they can enter a course?

Thanks!

Did you add the payment components to your Fluent Form?

I do use Fluent CRM. I have Pro everything (love the Fluent products).

I have a simple product that is course only where I created the tag in Fluent CRM and then in the "Access Management" I have that tag mapped to the course and have the option of "Sync this tag with the Course access" so when they fill out the payment form (fluent form with the payment options) and an integration setting on the form (Configure Integrations) to assign the course tag they get enrolled in the course.

I don't know if it's a Pro feature or not.

Wendy ShoefΒ Thank you. I'll try what you said. Yes, I have CRM Pro, too. I think I'll try one of the default Payment Forms (so I don't miss anything) and then yes, that's a bit what I thought: I need to set up some automations so their purchase triggers and then, like you say, "Sync this tag with the Course access."

I'm super new to Fluent (but I'm planning on going ALL IN) but not new to WordPress (or Teachable or Circle or ... etc.).

Thanks!

BTW, I find the Lock Screen super basic (and exactly how it looks and works from Circle) so I'm planning on not really using that as the landing page for a course but a WP page (or post). That way, I can customize it much more than that lock screen (with its Banner, Description, and CTA).

In this way, at least I think it will work like this, I can add the shortcode for the form directly into that WP page for the course.

I was initially hoping to use the Lock Screen and have the payment work right there (and ideally immediately, as it does in Circle) but I think using a WP page sounds like it gives me more options.

Thoughts?

The lock CTA button is simply a button redirect.

The way i am doing it is, I have setup a woocommerce product and I am using Fluent CRM pro.

I have set up a trigger if a X person buys a product, make a wordpress account and add him to the spaces i want him to be in.

This way the user is a part of the community with course access.

Tanmay KapseΒ Thanks! I'm trying to use as many Fluent products as possible (and not add in e.g. WOO). I'll keep you posted!

Erin WrightΒ i guess you can do it via Fluent forms then.
