Modal view in List and main feed in List view by default

These 2 things should be standard...

Modal view is very much needed for List view.

At the moment when admin selects to use modal view, it only works in Timeline view, not List view. This means a user can be pages deep in posts while browsing a space, click on a post in List view which opens as a new page. Unfortunatly this then breaks the flow of where they are in the space... the only waty to go back to the space is to click the spaces name link at top of page or in menu, or use browser back. This takes them back to the top of the space as the page reloads.

Modal view they don't lose their place in the feed.

Means the user flow is completely broken when using List view.

I have chose List view as I have a mainly video centric site and some videos embeds such as Dailymotion will play on page load. If you haave 4 posts in a row, the space feed loads and they all play at once which is aweful! So - for videos embed posts List view is pretty much the only way to prevent this.

However, this leads to the problem above.

The other overlooked detail is there is no way to set the main feed as List view by default!!! Spaces give you the option, but the main feed is Timline by default.

PLEASE can someone at FC respond to this!

I have sent support ticket but been ignored, posts here get ignored.

Just launched my community, had a good response from members, but already they are dropping off due to the above issues. These should be options as standard I think to make FC work fluently.
