Mobile Solution Appza Now Testing!

Just finished a first round of testing with the iOS implementation of Appza for my Fluent Community site (from Noor Khan with Lazy Coders). Working with them on questions and/or feature requests for the beta, but it's super cool already.

Any of you hoping for an app that you can use for your Fluent Community site, Appza rocks. I like it over Fluent Community Mobile because with Appza I can have an Apple developer account, submit a build via Appza and have my OWN stand alone app in the app store. NICE!!!!

Really excited that Appza is in active beta and it's already as polished as it is. If I make a change on the Fluent Community side it shows up on the iOS app right away. Pretty freaking slick.

Pretty freaking slick could be a hybrid webview wrapped into native app, which makes sense to me but its not a fully native app then. I mean the UI of fcom isnt native in App, its gotta be webview if changes on site affect app immediately. And im pretty sure they communicated itll be a native app... I dont actually see any reasons building native app, vue js is already a very solid stack for web app including mobile app as webview.

Cointacter the update that I saw didn’t appear to be any type of wrapping. I was updating categories for community lessons and then check the app and they were there right away. I don’t know how often it sinks or how that works, but it was impressive nonetheless.

kyler boudreau yeah it takes time to build impressive things and they might be doing it properly who knows, we will see.

Cointacter yeah, either way Appza is doing a slick job for my online school and it's still just beta. I'm stoked.

I'm still trying to get access to the Fluent Community mobile app. It requires the qr code that I can't find anywhere, so I can't even test if I like that or not. It's nice to know about other options!

Beth McGee the QR code should show in the plug-in settings on your WordPress site. You have to install their plug-in and then they will give you a QR code to download the app and connect the community.
