Migrating from BuddyBoss, LearnDash, Elementor Pro to Fluent - has anyone done it?
I'm moving away from BuddyBoss, LearnDash, Elementor Pro to... something and am considering Fluent. Has anyone done this? What was your experience? How difficult is migrating existing groups, chats, user details/bio's, courses, lessons, etc. And how easy is Fluent to customize and style? I can keep Elementor Pro if I have to, but I ideally don't want to.
Wish there was a way to demo Fluent like there is BuddyBoss before making a purchase.
I did migration about 2 years ago from heavily modified BuddyBoss to Fluent Community and I do not regret my decision. Fluent is much smoother, maybe worse for custom modification but I was able to do everything I wanted in Fluent. It just need different way how to work with it because FC is mostly SPA and something is not that easy to implement into FC. But overall, Fluent Community is amazing product.
Buddyboss is bloated polished Buddypress full of problems and their dev team usually makes more problems than solve.
Drive Zone This is exactly why I'm bailing on it. BuddyBoss was acquired by AwesomeMotive last year and has really gone downhill. LearnDash was acquired by LiquidWeb in 2021 but they rolled it under StellarWP and a dedicated team, well, they just dissolved StellarWP and pulled everything back into LiquidWeb proper - support went to zero pretty quick. My community, content, and courses are small right now, so it's the right time to pull the trigger and I do like how quickly the FC team seems to be iterating on features.
Do it, You will never regret your decision !
