Members are visible in the right sidebar of the chat.

Even though I set the group so members are not allowed to be seen, the users still appear in the chat’s right sidebar. For now I hid them with CSS. It would be nice to be able to turn this off in the chat settings, or have it happen automatically.

Also, it should not be possible to message a user directly in this group. Members should be able to move around in the group without being disturbed. In my case, chat should only be possible when a poll is started — i.e., only if I enable it for that poll.

It would also be nice if you could do more than just block a user: put blocked users into a folder so you don’t have to see them.

I also noticed that the delete message option disappears behind the header — see second screenshot.

We absolutely need an improvement on Chat privacy settings.

Right now, the "only" way we found to hide this, is to ban the chat for non admins 🙈. So as, if you as an admin do not start a chat with the member, it shows a non-available message.

Next update appears to bring "follow" functions as pointed by the team.

Hopefully, it comes with more enhancements regarding this!

Note: Maybe... a "junk" folder for non-following members or alike, could be interesting. So as to avoid spammers and similar cases of misuse of the chat.

I agree. It seems silly that a setting that is set in a group or space is basically ignored somewhere else.
