Member Only Content - FluentCommunity or Membership Plugin?
I have some content (code snippets and how-tos) that I plan to provide to members only. I can use a pure membership plugin and add the content in protected custom post types or add it to a private FluentCommunity space. Did anyone do this with FluentCommunity? If so, how does that look like? What are the pros and cons?
I've added pages/CPTs within the community (using the theme compatibility feature) and then control access using WP Fusion Lite and FCRM tags.
Designed right, it gives you the seamless feel of being inside the community, whilst only being limited by your imagination and choice of page builder/blocks!
Jonathan GwyerΒ yeah this is my plan after testing theme compatibility last night.
I have a private space for members and then use the FluentCommunity Full Width Frame template with the Fluent Conditional Section and tags. I have a link to this page in the private community.
I tried adding premium content to the community and it kind if works. But it feels better suited for content that should be shared in the community. I am going to add a membership plugin to the site and will sell premium content as a true membership product, not part of a community. That way, I can easily teaser content for everyone and sell the membership for the premium part.
Thanks for the ideas!
