teethy To be completely transparent, I have only tested this using Firefox and Google Chrome. In my experience, Microsoft Edge has consistently had compatibility issues with many services. However, since it—like Opera—is built on Chromium, it should at least function to some extent.

Regardless, I will look into what can be done. In the meantime, I suggest trying Chrome or Firefox; it works very well with both.

Regarding the bookmarks, I have taken your feedback into account and will look into it.

Marek Hi! Yes, Ad Manager supports Google ads 🙂

You can add Google AdSense or Google Ad Manager in a few clicks: you just enter your IDs, with no code to write. Your Google ads then show in your community, at the top of the feed, inside the feed, in the right column or under a post. They take turns with your own sponsors’ ads, in the order you choose.

A few things are taken care of for you:

• Google ads only load once the visitor has accepted cookies, so you stay on the right side of the rules.
• Members who pay for a “no ads” plan never see them.

You can also use other ad networks by pasting their code.

Ad Manager is free in FC Extensions. If you have any other questions, feel free to post them in the FC Extensions community: you’ll find answers there and can chat freely.

The site already runs ads and has its own consent popup working sitewide, except there are no ads in Fluent Community. Does the extension work with any cookie banner, or if not, is it possible to disable that requirement to show ads?

Yes, Ad Manager adapts to your cookie banner. If you use Complianz, CookieYes, Cookiebot, Borlabs or GDPR Cookie Compliance, there’s nothing to do: Ad Manager detects them on its own, and Google ads show as soon as the visitor accepts cookies in your banner.

If you use another banner, you can turn off the wait: in the External networks tab, Cookies card, set “Network ads show” to “Always”. Ads then show right away, and your own banner keeps handling cookies, just like on the rest of your site.

Melynda These are not the same plugins, even if some might try to make you believe otherwise. You only need to take a look to see that they are completely different. There is no such thing as an "original" plugin, let alone any exclusivity. As for the claims about spam—that, too, is just an attempt to mislead. I do no more and no less than others who contribute to the Fluent ecosystem. It strikes me that the very people making these accusations—out of pure jealousy—have short memories; back in the day, they were 100 times worse (and in their case, they were actual spammers). In the end, though, what really matters is that you found a solution.

This post is for you, Dragan (Dragan STAMENKOVIC), but it's also for anyone who came in late and didn't see what actually happened.

We all have eyes, and everyone can see that there's been no one here making personal attacks, trying to convince others of something, and repeatedly advertising their plugins here but Dragan .

As for me, Dragan, the fact that I found a solution isn't the only thing that "really matters" to me; kindness and honesty are even more important to me. But I do applaud your effort at trying to bookend a less-than-palatable sandwich with slices of sweet bread. That's a great way of making it seem as though you care about customer service. Good job!

I have no affiliation with any another FC plugin company and am not friends with any of their owners (though I must admit that I hope to become friends with the ones who do exhibit honest and integrity). I'm just a happy customer of one such company that was created by a guy who was an early and frequent and generous contributor to this official FC community from the beginning.

That guy spent hundreds of hours freely helping others before opening his business-- FluentCommunityAddons.com --at which time he stopped advertising his business here in the official FC community. I assume he stopped because he didn't want to make it seem like he was spamming the community and because hoped that his current customers would spread the word for him (Something I love to do!)

He's built a company unlike any others I've ever seen, and it's wonderful. It encourages community interaction to make the plugins better and to steer the roadmap. His plugins are always first made available as beta versions, and then his community actively shapes their development. He listens to his users and is incredibly responsive. We bring up an issue, and it's generally acknowledged immediately and a solution is always, always in the works for the very next release, which comes promptly--often the same day.

Perhaps, Dragan, you didn't understand how his community was supposed to work when you joined there? Perhaps you thought that all of his beta plugins were offered in their final form? I'd prefer to think that than to think you're misrepresenting the facts.

At least two of his customers have become his competitors. But I believe only his business operates the way he runs his, with his community's hands on the steering wheel.

I was here in this official FC community relatively early and have witnessed what happened with my own eyes: his company came before yours. You were his customer. He (graciously, I think) allowed you to advertise your first plugin product on his community. Then you opened your own company and started offering plugins that are ::very:: similar to ones he offers (I've not compared your code, but the functionality, descriptions, and even the plugin titles are quite similar), while implying that you coded your copies from scratch. And you're currently marketing those plugins as "free," presumably in order to siphon customers into your own business.

I suspect you're depending on newcomers not understanding the true sequence of events. I suspect you believe your new customers will be impressed with your AI-made website. I suspect you hope to bring in lots of yummy, yummy revenue without putting in all of that tiresome work the other company(s) did.

So. Here's a toast to you, Dragan: "May your business's success be equal to the effort and integrity that you put into it."

But that’s alright; I don’t hold it against you. I wish you all the best moving forward.
