Make a BaseCamp out of FluentCommunity?
Hi, I suddenly find myself bombarded with work requests, some projects all mine, others where I just bill by the hour. I'm wondering if I could make FluentCommunity into my own Basecamp-like communication tool.
Do you use it for client communication?
Also open to any recommendations :)
I looked into this idea and abandoned the prospect. You could do it with one space per client but how do you mark requests as resolved and move them out of view? You’d likely be served better by Fluent Boards instead if you want to stay in the ecosystem.
If you like and understand Basecamp’s UI, use Basecamp. I’ved used Basecamp for 12+ years. A lifetime deal option (at least for now) that I like and use with my team and clients is Kitchen.co. It’s GDPR compliant too if that’s important to you. Great videos about it on Youtube.
I did enjoy Basecamp, and thought that it was finally simple enough that my clients would use it, but soon enough they were back in Messenger! :(
Gerard Godin that’s a boundaries issue. You can ask AI for “a variety of warm but authoritative phrases to redirect them back to the official communication channel.” Just because they pay doesn’t mean they can dictate the terms of the engagement. Moving forward, put it in the client agreement that communication happens in the official communication channel.
