Locking Lessons

I want to prepare lessons and then have the student demonstrate competency for the lesson before unlocking then next lesson?

e.g.

Lesson 1 - practice these things

Success - being able to do a, b and c

On demonstration the teacher 'promotes' the student to the next lesson / unlocks the next lesson.

All lessons plans are structurally built one after the other and need practical demonstration to 'pass'.

Is this possible?
