Link preview in post
Is it possible to have a preview of a link that is posted in a discussion?
This is a weird one - sometimes there is, sometimes there isn't - I haven't had time to work out the difference yet!
Jonathan Gwyer Thank you, I have tested a few links on my website and none of them work. I thought I forgot a setting or something.
Since I want my community to be about news, a nice preview of the link leading to the article would be preferable.
I will try some more but may have to look for a different software.
Oh well.
I thought this was already possible to show the preview. I know it has done it for me in the past on my community.
Ok so it does seems to be some links that won't embed or preview. Odd.

Its hit and miss with Video Embed priviews depending on the site the URL comes from .
YOUTube works, Dailymotion works but the videos auto play on page load making it a bad choice if using timeline view as the whole page worth loads and plays at the same time...
Facebook videos and a few others will show when writing the post as a preview, but when you post it the embeds just dissapear.
