Join Space notifications
Hi guys,
I've noticed that, when a member joins a space, they won't get notified for new posts published in that space.
they still have to manually set the notification from their profile.
Shouldn't be normal that, once they join a space, they'll get notified for any new post published there? And in case disable it? or am I missing something'
Yes it seems logical that way. Ideally maybe offer it after they join.
I disagree. I have everyone opt in for everything but I also work in areas of life that people are often very private about.
When they are signing up for the space, are they opting in to get emails explicitly (as in checking a box and acknowledge they are agreeing to get emails)? If not, then that would go against email guidelines.
I have a welcome video that goes over their profile and notification options (as well as other things pertinent to my programs if that is how they are getting the welcome email with the link to the video).
