Join Request Function
Hi all! This is my first post, I have just setup Fluent Community and we are beta testing it with existing clients. I am looking for a workaround or solution....
We have other sales mechanisms so I'm not interested in putting paywalls into place. But many of our spaces are for paid members only.
Ideally I would like to setup some kind of screening bit for access, maybe a code word they receive through email which quickly allows the admins to see that someone has purchased the required product for access.
But I am open to other solutions that accomplish the same goal. Does anyone have any ideas for this, or does the functionality exist and I missed it?
One idea is you could use one of the automation tools (FlowMattic, Bit Flows, etc.) to add members to spaces after some trigger (incoming email, clicking a link, making a purchase if your existing sales method can be linked as a trigger, etc.).
Thomas Oates I have zapier, that would be a pretty clean execution.
Using Flowwmattic, or Automator: If a customer purchases item x (fluent cart, or woo), auto add the customer to x,y z Spaces. I use it , and works great.
Stacey Herndon Yes, you can do it using an automation tool like Bit Flows. Bit Flows has 42 events that help you build such a workflow. Like after purchasing a product, add them in private space of FluentCommunity.
