Is there a way to open posts in a new tab?
There's a problem with List view in busy spaces with lots of posts.
If you've scrolled 30 post deep and click to view a post in List view (modal option does not work with list view which is a pain...) - the only way back to the Space List you were looking through before is to either click back on your browser, or click the Space link again. Both will refresh the Space and start you at the top of the List which is a real pain in the arse and makes the site feel broken.
There should be either Modal view for List as well (ideal solution)
Or an obvious and clear method to go back to where you were in the list - or allow the option for admin to set all posts to open in the new tab. This isn't ideal I know but at least the user will see it happen and hopefully go back to where they were on the previous viewing.
Having said all that, Modal view for lists would be the best solution.
I believe this is already in the pipeline.
Opening links in new tabs or windows is considered bad for accessibility. For those of us who are obliged to have an accessible site, this would be a huge disadvantage. It would be better to use the browser back function and get back to where the user was in the list.
Andre DausΒ Modal is best.
J VΒ as long as it is accessibleβ¦
just click on the posting date
Joao FerzuddenΒ that doesnt work for me in List mode.
Not what Im looking for either, until Modal works with List mode, Im looking to make the main link in List mode open new tab rather than the current page load as this loses the users place in an Space feed and breaks the user flow on the site. Real members are feeding back that the way List view loses their place in space is actually making them stop using the site.
Ideal fix is Modal view for both List and Timeline but that may take ages to be implemented. Devs apparently have been told about it, but no sign of it joining the roadmap yet.
