Is anyone embedding livestreams?
If so, can you share your experience and how you are doing it?
I am using Jitsi. Use the Fluent frame on a page and some css to remove the sidebars.
Can you use Fluent's chat at the same time?
Don't think so, but it has its own chat. It is not a webinar tool. More like zoom.
The chat embeds? I was researching self-hosting options earlier, including Jitsi Meet and BigBlueButton. I want to avoid using Zoom Webinar (which I dislike). Can you share a screenshot of what the UI looks like inside of FC?
I don't use web conferencing platforms for live streaming. I have not done this yet on fCommunity, but I do this often for my clients with ReStream/StreamYard and then Vimeo embed and use Chatroll for chat. Chatroll allows for SSO with the plugin, but I need to test to see if I need the members to be WP users or just fCommunity users.

There are a few ways and I have used them myself:
1, The simplest is to create a livestream on youtube and insert its code. Done, you have livestream on site.
2, Embed Zoom Live using Zoom connection Plugin. However, the connection seems quite bad and not very smooth.
3, Try creating your own livestream vps with Owncast. This method is quite expensive and requires a lot of technical knowledge. If you want, you can try it.

I have tested several solutions I currently own, and they seem to work well. It's the chat component that I want to solve. Have you used Owncast? Would the chat embed with the video?

We just purchased a Zenstream license to test this out (currently avail on Appsumo as LTD). It also allows embedded 'streams' of pre-recorded video.
Charlotte D,Β I bought it earlier this week and tested it yesterday. It's a good deal, but I am not sure I am happy with the chat solution.
Charlotte D,Β It will handle comments in the message, but I was hoping to use native chat. (Hence my message earlier in this thread to Shahjahan JewelΒ ).
Approach wpstream and tell them to integrate. I made them integrate with buddyboss, they will do it here for sure too just need more members to approach them to ask for this.
There are a few tools I have used. The setup to Zoom is bothersome - but once set... works awesome. I have also used whereby.com and jitsi. Jitsi seems to have progressed well over the last couple of years.
