Integration with Directorist
I’d like to add FluentCommunity to an existing site where we’re already using the free Directorist plugin to build a directory of local businesses and services that our subscribers find useful.
I’m currently exploring ways to expand the directory, and the pro version of Directorist seems to offer many valuable features, such as multiple locations per vendor, chat, social login, monetization, claim listing, and more.
While I assume the FluentCommunity Devs could eventually add general directory features, I’d prefer to integrate our existing Directorist setup with FluentCommunity in the meantime.
Has anyone already tried integrating these tools? If so, I’d love to hear about your experience with this stack 🤓

Mahmoud Obeidi I already installed the latest versions (free/pro) and checked what has changed. However, I don't see any enhancement or deployment of directory features or an integration with Directorist.
If you refer to something else that I have overlooked, I'd be happy to hear from you what it is 🤓
I've wanted to build some directory sites but never found a good plugin to do it. I tried MyListing but it wasn't easy to use. How do you like Directorist?
I don't think it's in the FC roadmap or vision to add directory features.

I see, so an integration between FC and Directorist would be great.

We tested 2 other plugins in that area and found Directorist to be the best in this field.
We also started developing a custom solution by creating several custom post types (Items, Locations, Owners etc.) with their relevant custom fields & taxonomies, set them in relation to each other and created forms, templates & logic. But after 14 hours we were still miles (or weeks) away from replicating even 10% of the featureset Directorist provides even in their free version.
We may find ourselves in the same situation .
Some good news, from what I understand about the fluent community roadmap, they intend to make the community embeddable into another site starting with Gutenberg but expanding to other page builders .
I don't know what your directory software uses but hopefully there is some relatively easy way to integrate the community.
Sascha Leem it would actually be very cool to see a directory application built the same way that fluent community is built as a single page app using separate database tables outside of the typical WordPress custom Fields.
Hac Media Check Directorist, even though coming from a different Dev team, their UI & UX on frontend and backend is really good, lightweight and simple
