Independent Analytics > Fluentcommunity integration > missing API docs?
Hello mates,
I shared some ideas with Ben (co founder of Independent Analytics, a cookiesless analytics alternative to Google Analytics) regarding fluent community tracking: a topic that raised interest here since the launch of FC and so on.
Among the insights, I suggested using some kind of History Change Trigger, like the one used by GA4: the only setting that will allow a proper tracking of spaces, courses, lessons, and so on GA4.
He replied with pretty the same and useful info about the community post not having IDs, but he added a line regarding available APIs of fluent community: which I understand, could be a workaround for them to track them.
Iβll leave the message here and tagΒ Shahjahan JewelΒ just in case.
IA has recently added a FluentCart integration, to the yet existent fluent forms one. So it will be great to have also community.
Also, currently, tracking of community ia possible using the FCRM event module⦠so I am sure we should be able to find a way to make this two tools work!
Benβs reply:
<\\<Sure thing!
There is a workaround we could use to trigger the tracking script on new page loads, but the larger issue is the lack of a page ID for all of the community pages. We built Independent Analytics to be based on the WordPress page ID system, rather than URLs. This allows us to get other data to display in the reports, like the page title, category, etc. However, it makes tracking difficult when pages don't have IDs, andΒ in this case, FluentCommunity doesn't have the appropriate APIs we need to make it work.>>

Shahjahan JewelΒ Β Ben told me this: "These snippets don't help with the integration we would need, but we can try reaching back out to them. We may not have gotten in touch with the right person the last time we inquired about the integration"
If you want Shahjahan Jewel, I can give him directly the proper email or contact info you prefer?
Jorge de los ReyesΒ I think they are connected with our team as they did integration with FluentCart. Feel free to ask him to join this community or open a support ticket.
Shahjahan JewelΒ Ben told me he will re-contact the team.
Just a couple of hours after installing their pro version: they did a great work with their fluent-integrations!
So useful so far!
Jorge de los ReyesΒ nice <3
