improve the courses

Hello,
I would like to know if you are going to improve the courses in the next few days. I'm hesitating between the fluentcommunity courses or taking another plugin that's a bit more advanced. I'm afraid to wait and that nothing will be developed for the courses.

I'm also waiting on this.
Well, I'm not "waiting" because I am determined to use the Fluent Community for Courses but it would be DELIGHTFUL if we knew that the plan is to (contiually) improve them.
Right now, I'm coming from Circle and I'm going to guess that Fluent did a carbon copy of how Circle does courses and ... well, Circle's Courses could use much improvement, too!
In a nutshell, I would recommend to the Fluent team to look to more established Course providers such as Learn Dash or Teachable or Thinkific rather than Circle.
However, I'll be happy with anything that works ... as long as it's functional.
Currently, my main hesitation is where to host the course videos. I'm doing them on YouTube just because it's the easiest and works that best.
Thanks for the post, JΓ©jΓ© immobilierΒ !

Erin WrightΒ I am now hosting my videos on Vimeo, but I'm planning to swith to Bunny.net now they have integrated this. I still need to dive into it and do the math, but I heard here and there that it's way cheaper.

Gee AdriaanszΒ very cheap.....stream 1TB for 5 bucks Erin WrightΒ

Sophia SΒ and Gee AdriaanszΒ , thanks for the notes on Bunny. I'll check that out.

Gee AdriaanszΒ They have storage on Bunny, but Stream is not yet implemented.

That said, it does work after I was shown how to implement the iframe code in FluentCommunity. It's tedious now, but it works. I'm hoping for something a bit more automated when they support Stream.

William BeemΒ it works kindly use the custom htm embed

What is it that you need exactly which Fluent doesn't have at the moment? I have used several plugins over the years, including LearnDash and a lifetime bought BuddyBoss. But I am really happy that I made the switch to FluentCommunity. Yes, it still need to be improved but they are working hard on it. It's getting better with every update. If you still have doubt, just be aware that the lifetime deal will end soon ;)

Gee AdriaanszΒ support of h5p, certificates & credentialing, integration with a learning record store, Zoom integration, group/cohort enrollment, discussion board integration (discussions as assignments), grading, user roles, instructor management, commissions, LinkedIn integration (show my badge), etc....

I wouldn't actually recommend that Fluent take on this effort, unless they're going to build a "FluentLMS".... there's always going to be another requirement.

I would \ rather see them recognize the general usecase of integrating with a range of LMS/course platforms so you and I could each find the answers we need for our communities.

For instance, we're working on a custom script that will enroll a user in a LD Group when they are added to a Fluent Space... Though we're still going to have to wrestle with the user experience around that. How, for instance, will the link to the course or the space be handled. Will the instructor have to add it to the Space menu manually? (Awkward) or do we build a link to the community discussion into the course itself, maybe as a "lesson"

I get your feelings, just like me, I am using 'Thrive Apprentice' with over 23 courses and multiple automations going on in the background. Thrive Apprentice is a robust plugin that support anything about courses. So switching is a bit difficult, because I have been using it for years. Anyways, lets wait for Fcommunity theme compatibility to see if it helps
