Impressed by FC
I have to say I like the feel of Fluent Community, I opted to go with a competitor when both were doing lifetime deals. Buyers regret, though I do hope that features are built into FC rather than us having to purchase more and more additional plugins.
I think it is a matter of philosophy.
What do you think?
I have always loved how Shahjahan Jewel and the team share their "journey".
I do not know which company you may referring to, but, I see not many companies just developing softwares for their own use, and then, release it publicly with competitive pricing :)
I have indeed see, some companies selling community plugins, that they do not actually use. "I will not use this - but you can".
In the case of Fluent Community, it was super engaging even it was not planned to be released. Almost like a final product!
If you go for it, I am sure you will not regret it. Our users are super happy.
And for example, I find this community really engaging too (as an user)! :)
Among it's non-visible features, I think, we have this community: you can ask for features, or share feedback. And the dev team is super attentive. And it is not strange to see requested features being implemented in a short time.

James Robinson I was in the same position as you. Two months ago, I got fed up with waiting and bought FC. It's been super easy to work with so far, and I love it.
I do feel a bit miffed — like I got persuaded that FC was an inferior product and thus ignored the earlier offers of FC at lower pricing.
But the reality is that FC exists as a full-featured product, and it works well. Once I swallowed the bitter pill of paying more for it than I could have if I had bought earlier, I have been thrilled with my purchase, and am so happy to no longer be tortuously waiting for the other product to be ready.
Kaneisha G. Yes I think we are talking about the same competitor who released alpha with an ETA of Feb 2025 for official release. But here we are in June. I think I will decide this week, I still need to make sure if FC is enough or I need to buy other plugins to get it to work and have closed areas etc. Thanks for sharing at least I am not the only one.
Kaneisha G. I bought both at the same time, but the other one was riddled with all sorts of issues. Plus I did not like how they chose to incorporate it into wordpress.
James Robinson are you talking about SureDash or some other plugin?
Jeff Brigman Yes at first that seemed like a good idea, but I think it leaves more work us as we have a bare canvas.
