If You Were On The FluentCommunity Dev Team… What Would You Add in 2.3?
First of all - 2.2 was massive. Respect to the team 👏
But let’s imagine something…
If YOU were on the FluentCommunity development team and had the power to add just ONE feature in 2.3 - what would it be?
Here are a few ideas:
- Advanced analytics dashboard (engagement, retention, activity heatmaps)
- More dynamic blocks / layout flexibility
- Smart pre-built community templates (course hub, membership hub, mastermind, etc.)
- Workflow automations (trigger-based actions inside community)
- Advanced role & permission controls

Add? I think is time to fix all bugs :-) But what to add definitely improve search form. This us not mobile first this is mobile last. Plus GDPR tools. It is not something what you want it is something what you must have.
I like the advanced role and permissions controls idea. It would be nice to be able to make menu items visible/hidden based on user roles instead of just spaces or courses.
Some others (sorry, couldn't stop with just one)
- Fully customizable user profiles
- Ability to send notifications to users that link to things other than spaces/posts (this is a specific need I have).
- Release of the PWA functionality.
- Better integration with other Fluent products like FluentBooking.
- Event Calendar
- Ability to embed any shortcode in posts...or at least FluentForms.
Some of the above are available now with Ross FCA awesome collection of add-ons so that is an option as well.

Great for now! Fc addons and community doing a great job! PWA and push notifications are working smoothly. Maybe a better search.
Be able to search for content within the courses. If the search engine only searches in one part of the community, it is lame. This functionality is very important. It has to be easy to find any content in spaces, courses, topics, lessons, comments, etc.

Cointacter Please explain. You can embed live streams from pretty much any platform, not? It's just that comments would get lost as they aren't part of FC.
Helmar Rudolph well, since fluent has its own ecosystem, it could easily bring social marketplace with live shopping videos into this world and this would be real innovation not just another product

Native PWA, push notifications.
I would add the option for a different layout, that gives all the comments more breathing room. Giving it a more a traditional forum look. Also adding a comment counter / scroller on the side with that for good orientation.
Nativa PWA. We cannot rely on browser or email notifications. We all work via phone. Same for FluentBoards. The only reason I can’t switch it’s because it’s strongly relies on browser or emails
