I made a silly plugin for styling FC
Update: Download link removed due to Windows Defender flagging the file. See comments for details.
It's called FC Styler.
It's based on this post. You can use it to apply custom colors for miscellaneous items in FluentCommunity portal that are not covered by the Color Customization panel (mostly hover colors, see screenshot for full list). If you don't want to use code snippets for some reason, give this a try :)
Installation & Activation
-
Install the Plugin:
- Go to the WordPress admin dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
- Click on Upload Plugin, then upload the plugin zip file.
- Activate the plugin once itβs installed.
Configuring Colors
-
Navigate to the Settings Page:
- After activation, you'll see a new menu item called FC Styler in the WordPress admin sidebar.
- Click on FC Styler to access the settings page.
-
Define Colors for Light and Dark Mode:
-
Under the Define Colors section, you'll see three color options:
- Color 1
- Color 2
- Color 3 (three colors should be enough to cover most needs)
-
Each color option has two fields: one for Light Mode and another for Dark Mode.
-
Enter a valid color value in Hex (e.g.,
#FF5733) format (color picker available).
-
-
Assign Colors to Frontend Elements:
- Under the FC Elements section, you can assign the defined colors to specific elements in the frontend.
- For each element (e.g., Heart color), select the color you want to use from the dropdown list.
- The dropdown options correspond to the predefined colors you set earlier (Color 1, Color 2, and Color 3).
Saving and Applying Settings
- After you've configured your colors and assigned them to the frontend elements, click the Save Settings button to save your changes.
- The plugin will automatically inject the corresponding CSS into the frontend of the portal, applying the color changes to the relevant elements.
A Few Notes
- Do not trust strangers on the Internet. Inspect the code yourself before using it.
- Test it thoroughly before deploying it on production site.
- The elements list does not cover every single detail. (e.g. verified badge color is not supported)
- It deals with colors only, nothing else.
- I made the plugin just for fun. Any future FC update could render it obsolete. I do not promise any future updates or support.
If anybody decided to play with it. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Cheers! π«Ά
Excellent. Thanks for your contribution.

Tim Olukayode AjayiΒ oh boy. Which software reported the virus?
Aaron Liang βΒ Seems to be Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml detected by windows Defender.
oiwaΒ alright Iβll remove the file for now and check my computer. Thanks for reporting
Aaron Liang βΒ It's Windows Defender.
Tim Olukayode AjayiΒ and oiwaΒ I did a bunch of scans with Windows Defender, AVG, VirusTotal. All clean on my end.
Could be false positive, but I'm not a malware expert. Out of an abundance of caution, I'll keep the plugin to myself for now.
If anyone is still interested, I would be happy to share it privately. My apologies for all the trouble.
Aaron Liang βΒ Thank you so much for doing this... would totally be interested in testing/playing with this...
Marie DeneeΒ Thanks, just sent you a link in the Chat
Aaron Liang βΒ Please share via DM. You can aswell upload on GitHub. Thank you.
