I could use some input from experienced folk on a best approach for various Fluent tools
I am asking in regard to various Fluent tools to be used for a single client across a couple of sites for them.
Scenario, and goal:
They have their live 'sales and brochure' site. This has Fluent Forms on.
I am about to migrate them to FluentCRM from Mailchimp and add a bunch of automations to help them lighten their load.
I've got them excited at the idea of using Fluent Community to create an exclusive .... community(!) in their industry niche.
My understanding is that while Fluent Community is a Wordpress plugin, it kinda does away with the bulk of Wordpress visibility and tools/plugins and such?
I am thinking that I put FluentCRM into their live public site and collect leads and data from their site Forms and elsewhere there.
Then have a FluentCommunity set up on a subdomain so members can login to that.
Since CRM and Community won't be on the same site, access to Spaces would either be granted by Tag/List in CRM triggering Communities via webhooks (if Communities has that incoming?) or via automation tools like Ottokit to connect the two sites and tools.
However, we also want to be able to charge recurring monthly/annual fee for members to access the community. I believe FluentForms did connect for payments to access, but that was more of a one-off, rather than recurring AND checking if renewal payment was made, for a user to retain access to Spaces.
I had been waiting for FluentCart, hoping this would/will connect to FluentCommunity spaces - and in renewal payment was not made, then either directly trigger a user to be locked out, or trigger a Tag in FCRM which then would have its own triggers to alter a user's access.... Right?
Lastly, they want me to add certain features like a Jobs listing board (with application form) and similar things - this would be available to Members. Not sure if this can be done within FluentCommunity or if that should be on their main Live sales website, connected with FCRM, and instruct my client to simply manually share all new job postings within a specific Space...
Thoughts?

I have FluentCRM and FluentCommunity on the same subdomain. You can collect leads with Fluent Forms on our main site and trigger a webhook to get the data to FluentCRM elsewhere. It's no different than if you use OptinMonster with MailChimp. Likewise, you can put a form on your main site and have FluentCart elsewhere, just like if you use ThriveCart of another SaaS service.
One of the reasons for putting these services on a subdomain is caching. My publishing site is full of static articles, so I cache most of the site with WP Rocket. However, I don't want to cache FluentCommunity or FluentCart as I would with WP Rocket. I have Redis on all sites that that works best for me with the subdomain.
Hope that helps.
William BeemΒ That does help - and I was toying mentally about if FCRM should be on the same subdomain as Community.
Do you have Redis server caching on the Community subdao
Dominic OsborneΒ Yes, I use Redis on every site. Putting FCRM on the fCommunity site made sense for easy integration and automations.
William BeemΒ Totally hear you. I am mulling over where best to locate CRM for my client's needs/logic - if not on the same site as Community, I'll have to use tools like Ottokit to cross-connect :)
Good to know Redis does work. In theory, I can run Runcloud's redis cache then.
Shahjahan JewelΒ Is it in any way possible for FluentCRM to create automated newsletters that show blog posts from another site rather than the site it is installed on? (asking 'here' because this affects 'where' I would install FCRM for the scenario detailed above).
Future thought for FCRM (maybe it's coming in v3?!) -the automated newsletters that feature blog posts etc could use AI to write a guided email opening and subject so it's unique and relevant for every newsletter that is sent?!
