How to upload video without using the "Embed Video" option?

Is there a way to allow members of the Community to upload a video they record on their phones directly into a post without having to use the "Embed Video" button option under the create post?

I had a member yesterday who recorded a short video using her iPhone, and she was trying to upload it to her post but wasn't able to because when she went to select multiple pictures from her phone's image/photo gallery via the upload image button under the post, it didn't recognize the video she had recorded.

It was showing that the only way she could upload a video to her post was to embed a "link" for the video. She, of course, didn't have a link since the video was recorded on her iPhone and stored locally there on the device. The only way to get a "link" for the video would be to upload it to some type of web video service such as YouTube, Vimeo, etc, and then embed the link created by that particular service.

If this is not possible at this time, is there plans on implementing this? Or should I add this to the User Submitted Roadmaps?
