How to disable join spaces?
I think it is cumbersome for members to join a space.
How can I remove the join space feature/option so members dont have to join this or that space, unless it is private.

I'm mixed on this. It depends on your business and how frequently your adding spaces and what not to your website. I don't like when plugins make business decisions. But having an option to enable it would make dev work a little easier if that is your use case scenario.
Wendy Perkins Shoef do you remember the forum days? When you could just signup to a forum and post on any category? You did not have to join a category in order to make a post, today, now you have to join a space...
