How does FC Pro upgrade pricing work?

I have an FC Pro Single Site Annual plan, which I bought for $159.20 last year.

I checked the price for the LTD upgrade about 3 months ago, and it was $263.79. But at the time, I couldn't upgrade as I was quite in the early stage.

Currently, as I checked the upgrade pricing, it's showing $306.54. Meaning, I'll have to pay a total of $465 for the LTD license.

So, I wanted to check if this is some sort of technical issue, or if this is how it actually works!??! Tried reaching out to support, but couldn't get a precise response.
Kindly help, as I'd love to upgrade to the LTD license as I'm getting closer to the launch! TIA! <3

This is actually how our upgrade pricing works, not a bug!

When you upgrade from an Annual plan to LTD, you get a prorated credit based on the unused portion of your annual subscription. So as time passes on your annual plan, the remaining credit gets smaller β€” which means the upgrade cost goes up.

The $306.54 you're seeing now vs. $263.79 three months ago reflects that difference, more of your annual plan has been used up since then.

Shahjahan JewelΒ Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, Shahjahan! I appreciate it! <3

And no worries, it makes sense. It's just that I wasn't aware of it. I'll go with the current price. πŸ™‚πŸ™Œ

Just a small suggestion: Customer support team members should educate customers with this explanation when such queries arise. For example, I previously asked them about this when the price was $263.79 β€” if at that time, they had told it'll keep on increasing the further I delay, I would've bought it at the time. Again, not complaining, but sharing a suggestion. Hope that makes sense. πŸ™Œ

The GSΒ Thanks. I just forwarded this to our support team.

Its logic considers a subscription to be a product that is consumed daily. The discount to upgrade works on a prorate basis. I've found that logic does not work at all for this type of upgrade, which is the typical sort I would use too.

Every day that passes, that Upgrade Discount will decrease, as it considers that portion of your subscription as "used" and not valid to be counted towards your upgrade.
