Hide certain posts from feed

Not sure if this has been discussed (I searched) but it would be useful to able to hide certain posts from showing up in the main feed. For example, if you're adding unrelated content such as community guideliness, other misc things that people should only see when going to that section. It would be good if there was a checkbox that says something like "exclude from community feed" etc.
