I hesitated quite a while back when the lifetime licenses were being offered for a super good price. Does anyone know if there will be a better deal coming up for a 5 site lifetime license cheaper than the $799 price online?

I had the same regret but just went ahead and bought it. There are many highly trustworthy people who bought multiple licenses. Surely someone would sell you one of their 50 sites at the same price one site used to be. It would be a win-win.
I had a great experience with Support at so many Wordpress plugins, it's hard to count! This time I came in expecting the same and wasn't disappointed in the sales. Kaneisha G. I bought the lifetime for all 9 plugins and had to refund them and am still kicking myself about it. I'm going with the annual and have come to terms that full-price is worth it for what the offer is.
For my uses, I'm starting on one domain and later migrating the community to a parent domain if it works out. With Wordpress doing this is a cinch.
