🚀 Help Needed: Uploading Videos Without URLs and Implementing Live Streams 🎥

We're exploring options to upload videos directly to a platform without relying on external URLs, as well as implementing real-time Live Streaming features. If anyone has experience with these functionalities, we’d love your input on:

Enrique B. Ramirez for a video storage you need a dedicated video hosting (like bunny.net etc) and not a simple web hosting (I am saying this in case you want to upload your videos to your WP directly - its a bad idea, but nobody can stop you).
"I hope" you dont want to upload videos directly into your WP/web hosting aka you dont want to invent the wheel again so you wont face some technical challenges (CPU usage, video decoding, latency issues and many more). Basically you can have easy "DDOS" to your server (forget about cheap shared hosting). It is your decision how do you manage your video content - it is just my opinion.
Note: fTeam is planning to implement bunny.net in to fCommunity so it will be easier to integrate it.

Enrique B. Ramirez there is no detailed information about bunny.net implementation yet so it is hard to tell how it will looks like.
Bunny.net has offerings like:
- Bunny Stream (A better way to deliver online videos)
- Bunny Storage (The world's fastest cloud storage)
This festure is on the roadmap so we can vote but there are not too many details other then a Feature Request.
Ps. IMHO Bunny.net (they have also CDN included) is very good and "cheap" and popular in EU region. If you are located in US or ASIA you might find some other leaders.
Ps2. Basically you will upload your video content to your bunny.net account (which is a separate deal - not a part of fCommunity) and you activate the Bunny.net integration in fCommunity then you will be able to embed your videos in your Courses and maybe even in Posts who knows...
Embeding videos stored on bunny.net to your fCommunity should be as easy as pasting YT videos link. But let's wait for the implementation.
Docs for fCommunity are located on the official website and on a github (ex. webhooks) but there is no detailed section for video hosting.

Wouldn't posting YT links be a much better solution than actually 'uploading' videos especially considering that users will also have the permission to upload videos and that will tax the server and resources.
Dan H Thank you for the insights! My main concern is about the user experience, especially for those who don’t use YouTube. Even for those who do, it adds an extra step to publish a video, which could complicate the process. Platforms like Circle, Facebook, and Instagram already offer direct video upload features, making it seamless for users. It would be great to see fCommunity provide a similar functionality in the future to enhance usability. 🚀
Enrique B. Ramirez Since FC is always self-hosted, and video is high-resource, any seamless video features for your users would need to be an integration with a video-centric cloud service, IMO.
