Groups OR Spaces

I still don't have 100% clarity in what should be the group and what should the space and the difference in their functionality. Referring to LinkedIn, we have Groups without spaces. So what is the difference between the two in terms of functionality?

Dan H A Group it is just a container/placeholder where you can place your Spaces/Courses. A Group function is similar to a Folder where you can store your Files on a Computer - with Groups you can organize your left sidebar menu so your Community structure looks clean to users and it is easier to navigate.

Spaces alone are a place where all conversations happen.

Ah, thanks for the clarification @wordpress. So, if we want to restrict user entry, will that be done at a Group or Spaces level?

Dan H user restrictions are on Spaces level (Space Settings) where you define a Privacy (Public, Private, Secret).

Groups don't have any restrictions so far (they are not an Access Groups)
