Follow Post Without Liking It

It would be great to be able to follow an article without liking it. If I like an article I'd click the heart, but sometimes, I just want to follow and maybe later on I do not want to follow anymore because the conversation turns into a different direction. In Circle this is simple: Liking and Commenting creates the follow post automatically. But I can also follow a post manually without interacting with the post. It is a great feature I know many people use with other communities. It would be great to have this feature in FluentCommunity, too.

I haven't tested it but does bookmarking a post enable notifications for that post?

AndrΓ© Daus

Ross FCAΒ I thought so as well. But these are three distinct functions: liking, bookmarking, following. Bookmarking helps me find the post again without getting updates, following sends updates.

At least, there is a dedicated tab "Following" in the notifications area...

Bob

AndrΓ© DausΒ I thought you couldn't follow a post?

AndrΓ© Daus

BobΒ that's still true. It seems one "follows" a post if they have either commented or liked. But there is no "follow this post" option.

Bob

AndrΓ© DausΒ Yes, that's what I gathered from your post but you said there are "three distinct functions" as if following was one of them, so I thought something changed.

BobΒ I was referring to this:

Bob

AndrΓ© DausΒ Gotcha. Makes sense.
