FluentCommunity - New Release 1.0.76 🎉
We just released the current dev build, which is now available for you. This post lists all the new features and improvements from the last beta release.
New Goodies:
- Brand New Unified Interface
- New Profile Design with rich text support for about section
- New Leaderboard Design
- Post now supports Title (optional)
- Now you can customize your email notification preferences
- Load time improvements (around 20% from the previous release)
- You can now select in which space you want to post when posting from the homepage.
- And lots of new features and improvements for Admin/Moderators
- FluentCRM: You can now filter contacts based on space/course membership and send targeted emails.
- FluentCRM Bulk Actions: You can select the contacts and assign them to a space or course as bulk.
- FluentCRM Automation: We have improved the actions and triggers. We had to re-write the existing triggers. If you are using any automation please edit that and reselect the correct triggers.
Our team is working really hard to list all the bug reports and improvement ideas and working on those. You may still notice some UI / accessibility issues. You know we are on it!

If you use any cache than you need to maybe hit F5 many times hahaha. But make sure you click the Check Uptade link in WP-Admin as it should be available now.

Btw, the fluentcrm automation bug related to conditions and the wait was fixed (hopefully, thanks god).
If you could add the ability to categorize automationa sequences etc' into folders - that would make my life so much easier.
So I'm really enjoying how simple and clean the interface is. I also like how fast everything loads.

Hafidz Ramdhani, this time we have a new public plugin version realesed: 1.0.76 and it is available for us so we can update the plugin in our own WP instances.
Before it was only a Preview version for us so we could just see some updates here on this fCommunity but there was no public version released for us (so we couldn't update the plugin in our own WP instance.

In general it looks good but I found two issues in the lesson editor of the course module:
- For Gutenberg Blocks I cannot find how to access the settings which are normally found in the right sidebar
- Shortcodes don't work
Henry, when you're in the portal, you are using the Gutenberg Isolated Editor, it's not the WordPress editor.
Jonathan Gwyer, mh but I need the full Gutenberg editor. I mean the basic WordPress block editor with all it's integrated blocks.
It's natively integrated in the WordPress core. So it doesn't make much sense to disable it in the portal and only give a minimal version of Gutenberg which only allows very basic formattig. Right now the little options are not enough for modern courses.
Shahjahan Jewel will it be possible in a future update to use the default Gutenberg editor (the native WordPress Block Editor) in the portal? Perhaps add an Expand Button in the course editor to open full Gutenberg in a seperate tab?
Maybe I'm missing something where is the button to get back to my WP dashboard?

Please find my findings from a Mobile device:
- Improve formatting characters in the Notification popup area - stars are being displayed in the text where this is a formatting markup
- I am not sure when the blue bubble menu appears and where the user should be redirected when clicked on the blue notification (currently we cannot right click on the blue bubble and open in a new window - this could be useful for Mobile users). There is also a challange for Mobile users when the blue bubble appears then need to click it - there is no way the blue bubble will disapear after x seconds - while the blue bubble is on a screen the user cannot use much the top interface.
- I like the green dot (user status color) with the User Picture in the Members area
- Unable to see x..150/page dropdown list in the Members area (similar to the User Profile > Comments)
- Improve the user Profile Card when highlighting the user name in the Members area for Mobile users. Check why the Leaderboard round icon is outside the user picture
- Improve Space Card empty picture placeholder with some default picture - grey empty space look strange.
- Improve the Header image to be cropped and fit into Mobile view - example with FluentBoard Space shows the picture: text to be out of the Mobile screen
- Custom links for Mobile view could show max 3 links and the rest links (if any) to show only icons.
- Improve the message text field in the Chat so it is bigger, icons and button can be located below the field
- Check what is happening when the left sidebar is open on Mobile view vs the top icons are visible?
When the user click outside the left sidebar it should be collapsed but also when a user select any item/link from the left sidebar the sidebar should be collapsed on Mobile view. - Improve text overfloating in the notification settings area
Drag and drop feature for moving items in Groups/Menu doesnt work on Mobile so far. For Desktop Spaces should be indented under Groups for better UX.- Check the indent for Spaces items in the Notification manager area for mobile view - the spacing on the right side of Space name/text looks strange
- For Features/Modules recommended Plugings move buttons below the text/description for Mobile view so more description text is in one line.
- Fix the overfloating text in the Create Group menu for Mobile view
- Fix the UI for Lessons in the Mobile view so items are not on top each other. But also some text is not in one line with bad looking break lines
- Fix the UI for Courses > Lessons > adding Student search box and everything/all items in one line
- How do we move around when we click an image preview in the Mobile view with a ZoomIn?
- Unable to right click on the View Space buttons (Space card) and open it in a new window - however it is possible when clicking the image on the Space card.
- Can we have an Top Arrow icon for mobile view (bottom menu maybe or a fixed floating icon to move up and +add a post for mobile) to move to the Top of the screen. It might be really helpful when the user wants to submit a new post. We could also have a Create a Post icon for mobile view in the bottom menu.

Pat k, there will be a public Roadmap once the Plugin is live so we will be able to post some requests there too. For me its faster to share it here since for fBoards there is a Roadmap and no too many voices on the Roadmap either. Currently nobody is expecting that users will report only new features (not dupliceted ideas) so lets share it what we have. fTeam is taking notes I guess so they can follow haha

1. Can we also get email notifications for chat messages?
2. Can we change the slugs like "portal", "space" etc if it's not an English community? Can we even remove some slugs to make URL more clean and perhaps SEO friendly (if it's a public community)? The URLs are very long at the moment. In comparison, Skool has just /community/post (https://www.skool.com/community/name-of-the-post).
3. When are the rest of the strings translatable? Like "Featured Posts", "Recent Activites", "days/minutes ago", "Write a comment" (placeholder) etc.

Madis Mark, you can change the slug to a custom one with a simple code snippet - read more in the unofficaial starter guide if needed
By default the plugin starter page (home) is: domain.com/portal
If for some reason you would like to change the /portal slug you can do it with a code snippet available on a GitHub Repo: https://github.com/WPManageNinja/fluent-community-docs. Once you change the /slug make sure you re-save the permalink settings in WP-Admin > Permalinks.
You can also read why we need to have the /portal slug name (not the naked domain) in the URL here

Mat, Hey, thanks for letting me know. I tried to change the /portal slug and it worked except for editing course lessons (showed a blank page).
Please find my feedback and findings from a Desktop device below:
- Brand New Unified Interface - every day and update I love the UI more.
- Rich text support for about section in the User Profile - pretty good. We need to add more links (www, maybe even custom email, custom Social Media: +add more if needed). It would be nice to specify who can see the user Details (Logged-in, External, Only User+Admin). Some users dont want to display other info than BrandName/NickName for many reasons.
I hope the Admin will be able to select which fileds are obligatory so the user will have 100% profile completion according to the admin rules. - New Leaderboard Design - looks great, User Status color icon looks great too.
In addition it would be nice to have the ability to Filter by Space/s, by last 12 months timeframe, exclude Admin/Manager role/s if needed etc. - Post now supports Title (optional) - AMAZING! It would be awesome if we could select if we want to post a Title or a Question - someone already suggested this solution.
- Now you can customize your email notification preferences - YEAH! Really helpful. Also it would be nice to have more granular notifications as I suggested in my other comment. For now its really fine.
- Load time improvements (around 20% from the previous release) - Very very nice! This is what we all need for this solution: Speed first.
- You can now select in which space you want to post when posting from the homepage - as suggested we could have also a Default Spaces option to be selected by the Admin so if a Space Name was not selected from the list all posts are submitted not into a Feed but into a Default Space - example: Say Hello/General Space (by default the Starter Group and General Space it could be included with the plugin installation).
- I am looking forward for the Moderators feature too so we can provide a feedback before the fCommunity will be a SPAMMY place with new fake accounts.
BTW Note: I "hate" adding comments since it is not easy to find them later by me but also other users are unable to find it especially if it is not a "fresh" content (Seachbox doesnt work with comments). Currently if I cannot search CTRL+F on my Commnets in my User Profile easily this is really painful. The User Posts Pagination is also not available for User Profile > Posts so it is a challange to find some historical entry fast.
- Groups Drag and Drop feature is very handy and useful and looks like Premium product now.
- I am unable to Delete a Group (even with hard refresh F5)
- I was able to remove a Group Description for existing Group and leave it empty but for a New Group creation this field: Description is obligatory. Validation needs to be implemented for the Edit option I guess.
- If there is no option to Sort of Filter Spaces/Courses so could we have Drag and Drop option so we can specify custom order for Spaces/Courses (anyway it will be nice to have this implemented even if Sort/Filtes is implemented one day so we display the most important Spaces/Courses on a Top).
- Default image placeholder for Spaces/Courses is needed so it doesnt look "naked". For Admin user if there would be a no header image it could display icon: click here to add the header image.
- When Filtering Members in the Space by using Search field we could have the X icon to clear the search field out.
- I am not sure if users mighe slow our Community down when clicking anyd icon but it this could happen then we need a Rate Limit for clicking items fast too (example: Mark all as read). It would be beneficial if someone will try to bring our server down by looping one simple action with any macro/automation. So if 100 request per minute are done by the user then block user with automatic notification to the Admin - account can be suspended until Admin will review it.
- in the Chat area it would be good to remove user/s from the Messages list if there are no messages between users (they could be deleted by the user) but also if we dont want to see the user on our list.
For example the Space Group Chat is visible to all users and they are bothered by messages that should be delivered only to Admins (Group Chat should not be visible to All users - this could be customized by the Admin). - in the Chat area if the User will be able to remove User from the list all messages between users also could be deleted so we dont collect historical data between users.
In this case we need double confirmation when Deleting the Chat thread conversation between users. Once the Conversation is being removed by only one end-user the other user will se only his messages sent to that user but also a icon (red exclamation mark) next to the user profile image on the messages list that the user removed all messages from the other end. - In the User Profile I was able to add a custom link without: http/https/mailto/tel prefix (validation/regex would be nice).
- It would be nice to add the Header image filter (Background Color+Content Color) like for fCommunity (Welcome Message (For Public Users) Enabled) also to the Spaces/Courses Header.
- In Portal Settings > Email Notifications > In which day the digest email will be send - it would be super to display all 7 days (Mon-Sun) so the Admin can select multiple days not only Every Mon..Sun,
Admin could also select Once a month and and which days to send the summary - this might be useful for.
If Reporting will be implemented then we could have the option to specify when the report summary is being send to the admin via email. - SEO Meta tags are missing in the Admin area so for the Public fCommunity we cannot specify: Index,NoIndex,Follow,NoFollow and other important meta data.
- Admin could decide Globaly (default behaviour) how to open internal (our domain) links and external links. Currently external links are being open in a new window but it would be useful to give the Admin the power to set default behaviour (can be overwritten by other settings when adding links somewhere else).
- Settings > General > Global Posts Status > check box: Disable Global Posts Status Form could be more visible if not selected or greyout if possible (not selected Radio buttons are having nice look/color).
- When clicking any item link (notification) with anchor to the #comment the user needs to scrol the screen up in order to see the comment/reply (Desktop and Mobile).
- fix the issue with 2FA even using FluentAuth plugin the user still can log in without providing any code/temp access token.
- please find a way to improve 3rd+ level comments - comments nesting is not clearly visible now so users dont know which reply is to which nested comment - if possible with timeline view.
- Gutenberg Editor in Courses content in dark mode is shown has light colors. Also we should be able to/have advanced custom html/shortcodes there.
- if more than one posts is pinned to the top (max 5) to the top of the Space (also to the Feed? since currently it is not pinned to the Feed but only inside the Space) then a [Post Slide Show](<https://community.wpmanageninja.com/portal/space/community-meta/post/feature-request- for-menu>) could be implemented but also for the Wide Notice so we can post more messages to our Users.

Raymond Katz, did you by any chance try to deleted the space after putting a special character in slug?
When clicking to expand a nested reply at the bottom of a long post (like this one! In fact -- this one!) you end up at the very top of the thread. It's disorienting and then takes a while of scrolling to find the reply you wanted to read.
Shahjahan Jewel am still getting 'No route was found matching the URL and request method.' error. What could be the solution for it?
