I am super happy to see everyone so excited about FluentCart! Our team loves all the great feedback and buzz from the community and on social media. FluentCart is my dream project and the most ambitious one yet.

In my case, this will be used to sell access through Fluent Community. Advanced features are not a priority. What matters most (in my case) is being able to use a coupon (or any similar method) to offer (100%) the product — especially during the launch phase or when providing trial access to potential clients.

Shahjahan Jewel order flows and funnels are priority for me also Mollie with bancontact recurring payments. Does the Stripe integration allready able to use Bancontact recurring payments?
Natascha Vantuykom I am not 100% sure about the Bancontact recurring payments but we are using the latest version of Stripe JS API to handle payments. So if Stripe supports that, FluentCart will support.
Shahjahan Jewel I am asking because for example, the official woo subscriptions plugin can handle this, but the wpswings subscription plugin does not.
Bancontact is mostly used in Belgium, so for use it is really a must have 🙂

The comments I received on my video were all about if this product had funnels. I let them know it's coming in Q4 per your notes. That is a desirable feature for folks.

Matthew Hawthorn the database is designed to handle multi currency. But that feature will be bit complicated and we wanna start next year.
Shahjahan Jewel Yes, understood. It would be great if you can make it a true multi-currency system. i.e. The payment is charged in the chosen currency, rather than just displaying different currencies and then charging in the base currency for everyone.
Hey Shahjahan Jewel, the advanced shipping would be great as soon as possible. I have a use case that ships worldwide so connections to multiple shipping APIs is needed.

Shahjahan Jewel It's the import of existing subscriptions from woocommerce for me. - this is the biggest roadblock to changing. - You already have most if not all of what the majority of users want or will need implemented or planned. You and your team are always suprising us with great tools and wonderful plugins so I'm sure that will continue.
It there is anyway to get any way to manage live subscriptions from woo included it would be a big help in making the transition from woo. If that can't be done I'd love to be able to at least run both plugins together at the same time. That way the existing subscriptions are not lost.
I can see a very promising future for subscription-based industries with FluentCart — especially considering how flexible and lightweight the core already feels!
There are two key points I’d like to bring up, based on both our internal needs and ongoing feedback from clients using various e-commerce tools:
1. Migration Guidance (even if manual):
I know this has been mentioned before, but for those of us using platforms that currently lack direct integration (e.g., SureCart, ThriveCart, etc.), it would be extremely valuable to have official step-by-step guides for manual migration.
This is particularly important not just for continuity of service (like subscription renewals), but also for legal compliance:
Many countries now require customer-facing dashboards that allow users to manage subscriptions, download invoices, and update billing data. A clear migration path is essential for a smooth and compliant transition.
2. Invoicing & Tax Management:
It’s great to see this so well prioritized on the roadmap. In our experience, tax management and proper invoicing are often the first deal-breakers when evaluating e-commerce platforms for professional or international use. This update will open the door to more serious and scalable use cases.
3.Final question (important for subscription-based models):
I’d love to understand how FluentCart plans to handle subscriptions in Stripe. Will they be managed via regular payment intents (orders (eg. Surecart)) — like some e-commerce tools do to reduce Stripe Billing fees — or will they be created directly as Stripe subscriptions, using the native subscription object (eg.: ThriveCart?
This detail is critical when forecasting fees and ensuring compatibility with existing accounting systems or tax workflows. And of course, for the migration processes I am sure will be the first deal-breaker for clients already using other systems.

Jorge de los Reyes Good points. I'm using ThriveCart now, and it would be nice to import. I get the feeling that if FluentCart works with the native Stripe subscriptions, it would be less of a hassle to import.
William Beem If it helps you, I will share my experience: I migrated from ThriveCart a couple of years ago and switched to SureCart (I am happy with it to be honest - but misses many important things that have been in the roadmap for long (or changed key features that would not come back any more). And Fluent Cart came with almost all, in just the beta :) ).
The migration process (from ThriveCart to...."X" - in my case SureCart) was manual, but smooth.
You just had to take the Stripe Subscription ID and Payment Method ID, and map them correctly. No major issues — even though it was all done manually, it worked fine.
Once is done, you can just "switch off" ThriveCart, and Cancel the subscriptions there for not duplicating charges.
I was afraid of this at first, but, once you have the customer data on Stripe, it is pretty flexible to create/cancel/upgrade, etc.
The real problems start when you allow multiple payment methods (like PayPal), as each platform handles things differently...
As you said, keeping native Stripe subscriptions is, in my opinion, the best approach — both for compatibility and for legal/accounting clarity. But I’m also very curious to see which direction FluentCart will take on this.
ThriveCart has improved significantly in the last few months. And (let’s see if they stick to the promise), from June 22 they’ll be switching to a subscription-only model, finally including official support. (not for customers...but for the platform. I am sure you will understand what I mean!).
SureCart is also gaining traction fast. However, their pricing and business model have changed so often in less than a year (now they are launching agency-focused and charging a % of sales on new plans) that it's honestly hard to follow if you want to incorporate clients. They’re even planning to move checkout forms to their own servers — like ThriveCart. As an option.
From a GDPR and compliance perspective, this is a concern. That’s why FluentCart is so promising — not only because of the speed and the solid WP Manage Ninja ecosystem, but because it remains truly self-hosted.
That said… I hope we can have a proper migration path.
Some of us are willing to handle manual migrations and all the complexity that comes with it, but many won’t.
And it's understandable. Even if a platform is overpriced or limited, people often stick with it out of inertia.
It’s like telling someone they could save over $18,000-25,000 a year by switching from ActiveCampaign to FluentCRM (or any Open Source or native platform)… and hearing them say “nah, too much hassle.”
I trust FluentCart will launch at the perfect time.
Now the key challenge is the transition — how easy we make it for others to actually switch. Starting for our own businesses, that will lead the way to our communities for sure! :)
Jorge de los Reyes Oh - I didn't realize you could move ThriveCart subscriptions! Once FluentCart is available, I'll have to look into that and figure it out. I thought I'd basically be stuck until people manually renewed their subscriptions.
(We currently have a mix of Stripe and Paypal through ThriveCart, and Paypal through Keap...even being able to manually migrate the Stripe subscriptions would be wonderful.)

the issue here will be how/if can we manually migrate any subscriptions into fluent cart. I guess EDD integration will be via API or so.
If it’s possible to use Stripe IDs I am sure it wont take you long!
Just remember to cancel on the old platform and legally inform to your clients of the change.
You could be facing people “canceling” on your old platform and having renewals on the new 🙏🏼
Jorge de los Reyes - Good to know. I don't think many people in my community know how to manage their own settings or update payment info in ThriveCart so that probably wouldn't be too big a deal, and I'd build in management right into a user dashboard on the new site that could let them update their info directly there (for FC) or link to where they can request a login to ThriveCart or PayPal.
I'll see how it works and delve into it once it's available, and I just checked; about 85% of my subscriptions in ThriveCart are in Stripe so that's most of my customers. So I'd probably write a plugin that would let me automatically migrate folks to the new shopping cart assuming I can access the necessary info from the TC API or can export the data from Stripe or something along those lines.
Although...I do have multiple Stripe accounts that people get billed through...so that might not work so well after all, haha! Will find out next month, I guess, when I have something to test in a development environment.

It'd be good to converge the stripe accounts into one account, but I doubt that's an option. We've tried before and Stripe wouldn't let us do it, so we've had to manage with two. The agreements are technically with different entities even though they're now the same business holding the Stripe accounts.
Important for my shops:
- AirWallex Payment Gateway (Creditcard, Klarna)
- Cryptomus Payment Gateway
- Tracking-Page with ParcelPanel, because we fake shipment status for customers
- Dynamic Order-Bump at checkout-page (like CartFlows)
- Dynamic Upsell-Tree popup after click on add-to-cart
- Upsell or recommend products in Mini-Cart
- Tracking Integration (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Shopping (Merchant Center), Meta, ...)
- Generate .xml Product-Feeds include all variants (for Google Shopping)
- API to connect my shops to warehouse (Dropshipping)
I think this will be a great product - but like all other Fluent products (and I several LTDs...) are not fully usable here in Germany and for a company that is a no-go - lack of translation. I've been begging for over a year for a clean translation for all softwares (most recently F-Community), nothing happens. My last request was for Fluent Support (I wanted to use this in a company site). And after every update I don't have time to do the translations myself. So please Fluent Devs - finally implement clean German translations then i can think about a purchase again!

Quick question in regards to page builders, will you offer element level construction? Meaning.... Being able to place variation swatches on the product page, individual input fields on the checkout form, etc?
Aside from my comment above, the only thing stopping me from making the switch is third party Woo integrations for shipping tracking services, and POD (print on demand) vendors. I imagine it's going to take some time to fill these gaps. I'm assuming that API integration will take care of that but, will come at a considerable cost and will definitely be a consideration for adoption.

One of the biggest payment gateways from India, Razorpay, is missing from the roadmap.

Shahjahan Jewel Please include API access for payments, so we could develop our own modules for specific payment processors that you do not support. For example, an e-commerce site I built for Blood tests, was set up with Stripe, who then on launch day Stripe closed the account saying they "don't support that industry" even though we demoed a competitor for the same thing that they were already supporting. After a lot of searching at the time across 400 PSPs, we ended up using Elavon (I think formerly SagePay) - and since it was a Woocommerce site, need to pay annually for a Woo addon to connect with Elavon.
Dominic Osborne yes. We will have a comprehensive API doc with all the hooks you need to build addons or extend FluentCart.
Sounds super exiting! Unfortunately without EU Tax/General Tax, Invoicing we are not able to switch. Of course the full integration of FluentCRM, FluentCommunity and the whole FluentFamily would be important. Perfect would be the Sales Funnel. Then we will definitely we will switch!
Robert Metzger Actually i also lokked at skool and i myself use Communi for a free community (Fluentcommunity so far is only for my clients). The one think that keeps me from havein a paid community is the bookkeeping for recurring payments. And it needs to have the Tax problem solved in the EU. Also a way to put all the generated invoices in my lexoffice......so many problems....
Shahjahan Jewel It would also be nice if subscriptions are handled natively rather than passed to Stripe subscriptions - since Stripe takes a further % on each transaction. Systems like WHMCS simply create new transactions at due dates and times which Stripe sees a single new transaction in terms of processing.
Dominic Osborne Stripe cuts 0.7% by volume for subscription billing. There has a few advantages to using Stripe Billing
- Stripe have smart retirees feature. As they have billions of data point access, they can charge the amount more efficiently.
- They have auto card renewal with the network (visa/mastercard). So if a card got expired they renew the card automatically from the network access.
- Stripe also try to send emails to customer to renew their card if network fails. It really convenient for the user as well as more revenue for the shop owner.
At the first version, we will have stripe billing but we want to introduce on time manual subscription as well. So you can choose which method you wanna activate.

Shahjahan Jewel Fair points - I've only had issues with cards expiring but not lots.
Maybe you could add GoCardless as a processor - it takes directly from bank accounts under subscription after customer agrees to a mandate. Since customers rarely change banks, this can be more reliable and will only fail if they do not have enough funds or they cancel the mandate in their bank account (a very deliberate process).
Payments take a bit longer to clear to your own bank account this way but the % transaction is lower and even has a max limit, making it far cheaper than card payments for the merchant.

This is fantastic!!! A Beaver Themer integration is always at the top of my list for necessary integrations! Role based pricing is a big one for me as well for wholesale/retail shops.
Great list. I see that you have Square as a payment getaway - which is great. Are you factoring in Square as a POS. ie syncing products and sales - similar to the existing plugin for Woocommerce. I work with a lot of small businesses with both online and retail locations so this would be a big deciding factor.

I think if you provide the functionality to create fully customisable sales funnels and combined that with the speed of FluentCart and integration with FluentCRM and FluentCommunity, that would bring a huge influx of users onboard (Clickfunnels is a $100m+/yr revenue company).
ie: replicate the functionality of Clickfunnels (standalone SAAS) and Cartflows (WP Plugin) but all integrated into the payment cart rather than tagged on top.
— Some kind of Sales funnels builder to define the funnel flow a customer follows during the checkout process (similar to the automations interface in FluentCRM would be ideal offering if / then that logic)
— Order Bumps - upsells on the checkout page with a simple checkbox to add to order.
— One Click Upsells - sales pages that appear after purchase and if purchased, item is added to the order and is charged automatically without having to enter card details again.
— One Click Downsells - Sales Pages for offers that appear if an upsell is declined.
— Ability to have as many upsells / downsells / order bumps in a sales funnels flow as you want.
— A/B split testing for upsells/downsells
— Dashboard showing stats for the funnel (eg: % purchased each upsell / downsell etc)
— Imperative that Customer only needs to enter / authorise Credit card at first checkout, then all subsequent upsells/downsells are auto added to the charge if selected.
I think, if the above is implemented correctly, then fluentcart could be a game changer.
I’d also like to add a vote to add Thrive Architect to list of supported page builders.
Add RazorPay too for Indian users.
So... what does this chart mean in terms of a launch? August?

Any thoughts on a catalog mode? With Fluent Forms that would be much more impressive and perfectly integrated than other plugins I think.
