Fluent Community Sitemap gives 404 error on Google or Bing

I have FC Pro 1.8.3 installed on root domain, but when submitting it on Google or Bing, it gives 404 error even though it is loading via browser.

I can see this error reported in the past, and most recently here by WiLson EberechiΒ : https://community.wpmanageninja.com/portal/post/yoast-seo-fluent-community?comment_id=3403

Could you please check this issue? Thanks

Most probably a plugin conflict. Which SEO plugin are you using so we can take a look and see if we can recreate the issue.

N

Shahjahan JewelΒ Thanks! But I don't have any SEO plugins installed on the site. Aside from UpdraftPlus, GTranslate and WordFence, it is just Fluent plugins such as Fluent Forms, FluentCRM and FluentSMTP.

I tried deactivating the plugins and checking but both Bing and Google report 404 error.

This is the access log when I submitted sitemap to Bing:

NΒ Would you please open a support ticket so we can take a look. Also are you using the root path as the community landing page?

N

Shahjahan JewelΒ Alright! The issue was immediately resolved when editing to Community URL to add the slug. But I want the community to run in root domain.

Will raise a ticket with further details.

N

Shahjahan JewelΒ Just noticed the browser also reports 404 error, but regardless loads the sitemap.

I have reported bug. Ticket number 142546

Your FC is your main domain right? Because my FC is also my main domain.

How i did mine was, i created a new sitemap from https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ and submitted it to google search console.

You will also be posting on your FC site so google can process it faster for your site to be on google search.

it took mine 2 days for my site to appear on google because i automatically make my posts appear on x and fb to get views so google can process it faster.

i used my custom rss plugin https://mpaddi.com/space/customrssfeedforfc/home and link it ifttt so all my posts would appear on fb and x since i have many followers there to create views

N

WiLson EberechiΒ Thanks! Yes, my FC loads is on main domain. I am just starting out so there is no way to get views via social media.

Btw, when I updated Community URL to load on specified slug instead of root domain and submitted the new sitemap with community slug, it was successful. So, this can be confirmed to be a bug when running community in root domain. I am raising a ticket.
