YOAST SEO + FLUENT COMMUNITY
Do we have to do something regarding the sitemap or as said… it works automatically?
- do we need to see the /portal sitemap inside the general sitemap?
- Do we need to send this “extra site map” to search console?
Any hints are appreciated!!
Note: I do not see any notices on Yoast regarding community
I created my own sitemap and submit to Google search console. The sitemap provided at the tools in settings of FC isn't acceptable in Google search console.
And FC don't have RSS feed also, I created a plugin that generates that automatically and I used the RSS feed generated on ifttt so my post can auto post to my FB page and X account.
WiLson Eberechi Why the sitemap provided at the tools in settings of FC isn't acceptable in Google search console?
Prosper I don't know, maybe because my site is my main domain and not portal. I don't know
Hello mates!
Just so as you are aware.
I also got the same issue on Search Console.
But after purging CDN and server cache, and adding .xml and so to exclusions + adding an extra "/" prior to "/portal/blablabla...
Search console recognized it :)
Hope it helps!
Thank you for your feedback!
You have to copy the link and submit to your search console.
Shahjahan Jewel Thank you so much, Jewel! I already submitted the sitemap through Search Console - all good on that side 😊
However, I’m facing a small issue with the /robots.txt.
I’ve added some directives there, and both Yoast SEO and the server file show the correct content, but when visiting the public URL, WordPress still outputs Yoast’s default block instead.
I suspect the request is being handled dynamically by WordPress instead of serving the physical file from the server. I’ll check that part on my hosting configuration with the XCloud team. No idea why this could be happening 🙈
