Fluent Community LTD + What do I need to manage restriction + subscriptions?
Hi everyone! Unfortunately, I missed buying Fluent Community a few days ago at the old price. Approximately how long will the current LTD pricing be in place?
Also - can someone give me a straight answer on EXACTLY what I need to:
1) Sell subscription-only access to my community
2) Revoke access when people stop paying
I own: Flowmattic, Suretriggers, Surecart, Suremembers, and Sureforms
I'm open to buying Fluent CRM, etc.
1) What is the SIMPLEST, most effective way to get paying members into my community, able to manage their subscription, and revoke access when they stop paying?
2) Can I get everything I want done with Surecart to collect payment + Flowmattic/Suretriggers to create the user and put them in the community + Fluent Community as the community — or do I need something else?

To be honest, your question is quite massive and rather requires the involvement of a business analyst with experience in online commerce. For starters, to avoid ending up in a situation where you've grabbed the wrong product, try the free FluentCommunity installation, there's a lot available right now. Run Woo gateways or other gateways you are familiar with. Make a test purchase of products/subscriptions.

That is a simple function in any subscription-based paid community.
Kaneisha Grayson Not to speak for Artur, I think there are multiple ways to approach a self-hosted website. Unlike if you sign up for a website through SquareSpace or what not, you are in charge of a lot of the things. There are pros and cons that come with that. You have extreme freedom to do what you want. But you also have to understand the ecosystem.
Fluent Community is but one plugin that fulfills the function of providing a community. It is not an ecommerce solution. So you would need to decide which ecommerce solution you would want to use that works best for your business model. WooCommerce is the most popular one but not the only one. And there are numerous payment gateways to look at (PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.net, etc)
I know that WP Manage Ninja are working on FluentCart which I can only assume will be an ecommerce solution. When that's ready and depending on the features, that might be an option. Until then, you will need to look at the ecommerce solutions that are currently available for WordPress.
Wendy Shoef in my post, I say that I own Surecart. I am not interested in using Woocommerce.

Kaneisha Grayson For some reason, I didn't see your whole message but I did see Artur's. I apologize for adding on.
I haven't used SureCart, but based on what I read on the Flowmattic Fluent Community integration page, everything you asked for is possible.
As long as SureCart sends all your subscription management API calls to Flowmattic, there isn't any reason for it not to work.
If you aren't wanting Fluent CRM for the email marketing and are already using something else, then your suite of Sure products (cart, trigger, members, forms) is able to do everything on the management & automation side utilizing Flowmattic to enroll, add, remove, etc.
So as far as what to do, set up your Sure suite, connect Flowmattic to Sure & Fluent Community, and create your needed flows for your needs.

Wendy Shoef thanks for that link! I would like to avoid using ANOTHER tool (Paymattic) since I already have so many, but I'm glad to know about this.
Kaneisha Grayson the instructions actually use Fluent Forms for the payment in the example but you can you use any of the other payment integrations. The information to set up community is the same though. :)
I haven't done this but I think this would work.
Configure FluentCommunity to only allow certain roles to access the community (Settings->General, then Portal Access Settings and User Roles).
Do payment via SureCart.
Use FlowMattic to trigger on SureCart subscription created (and likely Subscription made active for those that renew after existing subscription expires) and configure FlowMattic to create the user and add the user to whatever role you specified in the FluentCommunity settings.
Then configure FlowMattic to trigger on SureCart subscription canceled, past due, etc. to remove the user from that role.
Again, I haven't done this but it might work...in theory.

Just Surecart and Flowmattic/Suretriggers.
I know how to manage subscriptions and revocation of subscriptions.
But if I have learned anything in this life is not to give away my knowledge. I charge $1000 for telling how to manage.
Those who don't charge and give away their strategies is because it hasn't really worked for them or made them money or not enough.
If it had cost them to learn and make it work they would not give away their strategies and ways to automate.

I use Surecart + FluentCRM for this. FluentCRM has a native Surecart and FC integration. Also when a subscription is cancelled you can revoke access to spaces automatically
