Fluent Community & Gutenberg blocks: how do you handle courses integration?
We’ve recently been testing Fluent Community to centralize our training content and community spaces.
Our initial plan was to migrate our 12 online courses (currently hosted outside WordPress) into FC, so everything would be in one place for learners and for us. That would have been ideal.
However, we’ve run into a limitation: it’s not possible to use the Gutenberg blocks already available on our WordPress site inside the course feature of Fluent Community.
Because of this, we’re considering adding another LMS plugin (probably LearnDash) just to host the courses, and then finding a way to make the learner’s journey seamless between both systems.
So I’d like to ask the community:
- are we the only ones finding this Gutenberg limitation challenging?
- for those using LearnDash + Fluent Community together, have you found a smooth workflow for your students?

The current Gutenberg limitation is indeed challenging, particularly in the context of tect-based interactive courses. Blocks like accordions and tabs are almost indispensable.
The current Gutenberg limitation is limiting me as well. I would love to port my courses over to Fluent Community, but I have them all built with pro features in Kadence blocks in a course custom post type in Wordpress (wpFusion for unlocking access). And I haven't heard if and when I will ever be able to use Kadence blocks in Fluent Community courses. So, I'm still in a long holding pattern of indecisiveness what to do.
Idem, la compatibilité avec presto Player et kadence block serait bien utile.

What sort of blocks are you missing? What's the essentials?
Ross FCA All the classic Gutenberg blocks and therefore those provided by plugins. for example, we have a series of blocks created with ACF that are essential for our training courses.
Even the basic ‘compositions’ are not recoverable under Fluent Community, which is a pity because we would really have loved to stay within the Fluent ecosystem, especially with the upcoming arrival of FluentCarts.
Christophe Curci FC doesn't load default scripts and styles that standard Wordpress pages do, so whilst the blocks show as available and can be added to a lesson, on the front end there's no javascript or css to enable the functionality.
You could choose to manually load the necessary scripts and styles for the blocks that you are using. You can also create custom blocks that work in the FC environment and do what you need them to do.
