Fluent Auth / Fluent Security : good security plugin ?

Hi,

This topic about Fluent Security

https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/fluent-security/

so my question is : compared to Wordfence or Solid security for instance, is Fluent Security a good choice for a wordpress site ?

and also for a more advanced site such as an ecommerce site or a community site ?

thanks

Karl Emil Nikka

Regarding the development pace, FluentAuth isn’t a regular WPManageNinja plugin. Shahjahan JewelΒ  describes it as his weekend project which might affect its longevity and support*. Solid Security (Pro) offers modern two-factor authentication methods such as passkeys while FluentAuth only offers email based two-factor authentication (the least secure and least reliable method). Solid Security (Pro) also has an integration with Patchstack. It does however cost 99 USD per year, while FluentAuth is free.

(* I saw that one of the community members brought up a potential security issue over on the WordPress forums for FluentAuth. I haven’t looked into it myself since we aren’t not using the plugin. Regardless of whether it is a plugin issue or just an issue on the particular site, it doesn’t look good leaving such support question unaddressed for over a week.)

Karl Emil NikkaΒ Agreed, that is why I suggested for WPNinja to have a community manager of some sort looking at all posts and acknowledging and supporting. The silence as you say does not help. Thanks for hoping in!

Hi Shahjahan JewelΒ we tested the new updated Fluentauth (last update in june) great features

i can see the slug on wordpress depository is fluent security

https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/fluent-security/

as you have introduced more features (security scan) why not rename your plugin Fluent security (its original name), that sounds better than fluent auth that doesnt mean much for most users

you could also think about a free / pro version with more features

there's a huge market for wordpress security !

(and even more since fluentCart is out, which requires additionnal security)

My 2 cents :=)
