Feature request: Keep header search available on landing pages using FluentCommunity theme compatibility

Hi FluentCommunity team,

When I create a landing page using FluentCommunity’s theme compatibility mode, the Search button disappears from the header menu.

Could you keep the community Search button available on these pages too, or add an option to show it? This would give members consistent access to search while navigating between the community portal and landing pages using the FluentCommunity header.

Ideally, the button should open the same community search as it does inside the portal. If its absence is a bug rather than an intentional limitation, please consider this a request to fix it.

Thank you!

Hi Jorge, thanks for the clear write-up. This is how it currently works rather than something broken on your site. Inside the portal, the header search is part of the main community app. Theme Compatibility pages are regular WordPress pages, so that app doesn't load there. That keeps those pages light and avoids clashes with your theme, but it also means the Search button isn't shown.

Keeping search consistent between the portal and landing pages makes sense, so I've passed this to our team as a feature request. It'll be reviewed by our R&D team before any decision on implementation. Thanks

Mahfuzur Rahman Thanks, Mahfuzur: that explains why it behaves differently.

In my case, members use Theme Compatibility pages for their dashboard and sessions, so these are part of their everyday experience after logging in. Having the same community header but losing access to search makes navigation less consistent.

I agree that keeping those pages lightweight matters. If opening the search modal there requires loading too much of the app, a header Search button that takes members to the portal’s search would still be useful. Ideally, it could be enabled for logged-in members.

Thanks for passing this to the R&D team!
