Feature Request: Filter by Verified Status + Who to Follow
Recently, Anne-Sophie W asked about the use cases for the verified badge.
I’d like to take this opportunity to suggest an enhancement to the Members → Filter feature.
I’m sure it would be extremely helpful to allow filtering by verified profiles, making it easier to quickly find founders, team members, admins, moderators, experts, or other trusted accounts inside the community.
This could also open the door to improving the Leaderboards or discovery experience. Similar to what X (formerly Twitter) used to do, public communities could benefit from sections such as:
- Who to follow
- Popular profiles
- Verified members
- Recommended experts
- Top contributors
For private communities this may be less relevant, but for public-facing communities and forums, I think it could significantly improve onboarding, orientation, engagement, and overall social discovery.
It would also give more practical value to the verified badge beyond simple visual recognition.

Anne-Sophie W Well. Now with AI it's super easy to just check the community and list all the missing features.
So, I am sure many request are being targeted right now. The thing is, which is a priority right now. Which only the team knows.
That being said, I honestly think discoverability will become one of the biggest differentiators for public communities over time.
Like 100% private communities too.
For the public ones, the thing is that, once communities grow beyond a certain size, people need ways to quickly understand:
- who is active,
- who is trustworthy,
- who shares similar interests,
- who the experts are,
- and where meaningful conversations are happening.
Otherwise everything starts feeling “flat”.
Keyword/profile filters, verified profile filters, recommended members, “who to follow”, expertise tags… all of that could massively improve the social layer of FC.
So I definitely think your suggestion makes sense and deserves more visibility. Happy to booster it a bit with some recognition!
Jorge de los Reyes I second everything you've written Jorge. You've made excellent points. Something I notice is that they put a lot of work into developing fluentbooking and fluentcart, probably because that's a good way to catch prospective paying clients outside of the Fluent ecosystem. They also want to develop Courses a lot, which is great, but shouldn't be a priority over the community in itself, in my opinion.

However, I’m like you, also on the side of not “bloating” an instance with add ons for features that should be core. So we will have to come back to the cold winter and hope for next releases to cover more improvements 😬
