Feature Request: Default collapsed Sidebar Groups (Spaces)
I'd love an admin setting to make the left sidebar groups menu start collapsed by default – so all Spaces/Groups are folded up on load. Users could still expand them manually if needed. With many groups, it gets super cluttered otherwise – especially on mobile or bigger communities. Right now it always opens fully, no way to force collapsed as default. Please add this toggle in settings!"
I really love that it opens fully. I even want to remove the collapsed button on my own.

I also like the fully open view in small communities. But when you have many Spaces/Groups the sidebar gets too long and messy.
An admin toggle for default collapsed (with the ability for users to expand) would be perfect – so everyone can have it the way they prefer.
Any One I understand your point, I have seen some communities with too many menus.... Which is very hard to scan through.
Yes, yes and yes! I’ve tried to code one (bear in mind I have zero coding skills) and it was was inly partially successful: the would collapse to let only the emojis appear but the locks (for when the space wasn’t joined by the user) were cropped. Worse, it destroyed the UI on my phone. It was unusable. And I didn’t manage to get the feed expand as the bar collapsed, which would be the other benefit of it (more room for the “forum”).
I will forward this idea to the team for reviewing.
