FC login/signup urls should be improved.

Here is my community login url

Mysite.com/wp-login.php

Are you kidding me? Using wp-login.php in the url is very unprofessional...

It should be this:

Mysite.com/community/login/

The signup url is even worse.

These urls are not acceptable πŸ˜’

David ScurlockΒ you can put the FAuth Shortcode for the Login/Registration Form on any page you want?

Jacob Windham

☝️ this. Here is mine for example: https://metanesta.com/login/

David Scurlock

Jacob WindhamΒ how would I set that up for /community/login/

David Scurlock

Manuel MΓΌllerΒ I see no FC login options in Fauth. Any login or short code will be for the homepage and not for /community/login/ and /community/signup/ this is what I need.

Jacob Windham

David ScurlockΒ in FC settings, there is an option to use a custom login URL.

Manuel MΓΌller

David ScurlockΒ Nope….just set a Login-Redirect in FAuth and send the user to the community…

Something Like: if wordpress role is subscriber > send to community

Works perfectly fine

JF

David ScurlockΒ It seems you have a misunderstanding. Community members are just WordPress users. There's no "FC login" separated from the WP login. Just create a login page with the URL you want and add a WP login shortcut. Use FluentAuth for this and to redirect user directly to the community after login.

Some themes have options to add login forms to any page. I use ThriveThemes and they have an element for that.

JFΒ I understand just fine. I want forum members to login to the forum. Paying customers should not be logging into the forum through the /login/ url. I know the same credentials can be used to login but not everyone should be sent to the forum to login.

JF

David ScurlockΒ As said, you can use FAuth for this. Create as many login pages as you need, add the FAuth Login Form shortcut and then redirect them depending on the different User Roles you have (forum members, paying customers, etc.). All you need is there and it's easy to setup.

David Carton

I work with Fluent auth. Costum page with shortcode. Some css en works fine. You also can set the user role redirect. Good stuff. Need some improvements but it’s ok! LookπŸ‘‰ https://members.yogainneryu.com
