Evergreen Webinar Feature Request

Hi Shahjahan Jewel ,

I hope you're doing well! Thank you and the team for all the updates and commitment to the community plugin.

I wanted to suggest a feature enhancement that I think could be really valuable.

Right now, we can set up courses that require lessons, which works great. However, I’m wondering if it would be possible to add a Webinar option. Webinars are typically just a single video, and this feature would provide the perfect setup for users to register and watch a recorded webinar seamlessly.

I won’t go into too much detail, but I truly believe this could be a useful addition for many users. Perhaps James Maduk  could weigh in with some additional thoughts?

Thanks so much for considering this!

I have bookmarked this post. I will revisit this for sure.

Shahjahan Jewel I was just looking into how to build webinar CPTs and just develop a custom function. The current webinar plugins are clunky and bloated. The idea was to embed a video or livestream on a page, along with a BetterMessages dedicated chatbox on the side (since I can limit who gets access to a new chatbox, what functions are available etc).
And use WPfusion tags with FluentCRM to limit access.

Would be really interesting to have this integrated into FC as a 'product' like Courses.

Anastasiya G I currently use a webinar plugin, and I’ve been impressed by how comprehensive it is. The developers have clearly thought of everything—it’s packed with features, allowing me to host both live and evergreen videos, set access periods, and more. Overall, I think they’ve done an excellent job with its design and functionality.

Looking ahead, I can see how similar capabilities could be incorporated into Fluent Community. I understand that it may not include every single feature I currently have, and that’s completely fine. The priority would be to keep it fast and efficient, which would make it an ideal addition to the platform.

Most people don't care about extra features like call to actions, Thank you pages, or the series of notifications before before the video and after watching the video. If this is what they are after then I would say this new feature, if it get's added will not be for them.
