Email notifications only work with the paid version?
Please, do email notifications only work with the paid version? Because email notifications don't work for me when I post or comment on posts. However, I get weekly notifications. Thanks for the info.
You can check in the email settings under profile.
I have that set up, I also have FluentSMTP set up and we use Mailgun. Messages are coming out from other plugins, but not from FluentCommunity. I noticed that announcement is like a Pro service for Spaces, so isn't it generally for comments as well.
Juraj HudΓ‘kΒ that's a post notification... here and now (like @everyone on fb)
Tom RobakΒ I understand, but when I write a comment like this, the notification doesn't come to the other user I tagged there, for example.
Juraj HudΓ‘kΒ maybe users doesn't have notification turned on?? check the user settings on fc and share screen what you have in notification settings
Tom Robak no, notifications are turned on. I'm still testing it though, because mailgun and the settings at this level probably cause some blocking there. I did get the first notification after publishing the post, but then no more, as far as the admin is concerned, but the notifications were coming for the member.
Shahjahan JewelΒ how is it?
I'm having the same problem (paid version). I have set up a test space with a dummy member, but when I post to the space the user doesn't get an email. I've checked (and double checked) the user settings and they are subscribed to updates to the relevant space...
Marcus WarehamΒ I use FluentSMTP and Mailgun, when it comes to sending emails. When I checked the logs: when a member added a post, emails were also sent to other members and the admin of the space, but then email notifications only went to the member who posted the post and not to the others. I didn't see that being sent in FluentSMTP either. So I don't fully understand yet what principle is used to send email messages.
Marcus WarehamΒ Did you also write to support when you have a paid version of FluentCommunity?
I still can't figure out the exact logic, but I do get the email, it just takes longer than anticipated! (47min instead of the 5mins suggested when posting). (I have a cron job every 5mins).
I also can't work out the logic for the weekly digest. Aside from what's contained in the email, I've asked it to run at 7 am every Tuesday, but the emails start going out just after midnight on Tuesday...π΅
Marcus WarehamΒ Weekly reports work for us, but I don't track the exact time. I primarily focus on notifications after a post is published or comments.
